Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a store associate to join our team in a fast-paced retail environment. You will greet customers, locate merchandise, stock shelves, and operate the cash register to complete sales. The role supports maintaining plan-o-grams, displays, and store cleanliness while protecting company assets.

The position requires basic math, cash handling knowledge, and strong interpersonal skills. Prior cash register experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes; store merchandise.
• Build merchandise displays.
• Stock merchandise; rotate and face shelves.
• Restock recovered merchandise.
• Help customers locate merchandise.
• Bail cardboard, take out trash, dust and mop floors, clean restrooms and stockroom.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Greet customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and bag purchases.
• Collect payment and make change.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using handheld scanners.
• Clean front end and set up sidewalk displays.
