Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a store associate to serve customers, stock and rotate merchandise, and maintain neat displays. You will help shoppers locate items, operate the cash register, and handle payments efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include unloading deliveries, stocking shelves, and assisting with merchandising setups and sidewalk displays when required. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred and safety procedures must be followed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram guidance.
• Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Ability to operate IBM cash registers.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and open cartons; stock merchandise in the sales floor or stock room.
• Build and rotate merchandise displays; stock and face shelves.
• Assist customers in locating merchandise and answering questions.
• Operate cash register and handle payments; bag items and give change.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using handheld scanners when needed.
• Clean front end of store and maintain bathrooms and stockroom.
