Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a store associate to act as the primary customer contact, assist in maintaining plan-o-grams, stock shelves, and support store profitability and teamwork. The role includes unloading trucks, building displays, stocking merchandise, and operating the cash register.

Qualified candidates have strong communication, basic math, and cash-handling skills; a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Unload trucks.
Receive, open and unpack cartons; store merchandise in stock room or on sales floor.
Build and stock merchandise displays.
Rotate and face merchandise on shelves.
Restock recovered merchandise.
Assist customers in locating merchandise.
Operate cash register and bag merchandise; collect payment.
Assist with ordering merchandise using handheld scanners.
Clean store areas and maintain front-end appearance.
