Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a flexible team member to support daily store operations in a fast-paced retail environment. You will assist customers, stock shelves, build displays, unload trucks, and help maintain a welcoming store floor.

You will also operate the cash register, handle payments, bag items, and ensure accuracy of transactions. This role emphasizes compliance with company policies, teamwork, and asset protection, with opportunities to contribute to curbside and sidewalk display setup

Qualifications

• Must have strong interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• understands and follows safety policies and procedures.
• Able to read and follow plan-o-grams and merchandise presentation guidance.
• Basic cash handling procedures knowledge.
• Solid basic math skills for transactions.
• Experience operating IBM cash registers is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and receive merchandise.
• Stock and rotate merchandise, build displays, and restock as needed.
• Assist customers in locating items and answering questions.
• Operate cash register to process purchases and make change.
• Maintain store cleanliness, including front end and stockroom areas.
• Support ordering merchandise using handheld scanners when needed.
