Job summary

Dollar General is hiring a store associate to act as the primary customer contact, set up plan-o-grams, and maintain stock levels. You will assist customers, operate the register, and help with merchandising and cleanliness tasks across the store.

The role requires basic math, cash handling knowledge, and the ability to follow merchandising guidelines. This is a fast-paced position with daily customer interaction and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication with customers.

• Comfort with basic cash handling procedures and math.
• Familiarity with IBM cash register functions.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise.
• Receive, open, and unpack cartons; stock on shelves or floor.
• Build and maintain displays and rotate stock.
• Assist customers in locating items and answering questions.
• Operate cash register and process payments.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using scanners.
