Job summary

United Pacific in El Monte, CA is seeking a Sales Associate to join our store team. You will handle daily cash, assist customers, and help keep the store safe, clean, and stocked. You must be able to stand for long periods, work irregular shifts, and learn POS systems. Full-time positions include benefits; all candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• HS diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbally and written.
• Ability to work alone in the store for extended periods.
• Must be able to provide proof of authorization to work in the United States.
• Be able to work irregular shifts, including weekends, overnight shifts, and holidays.
• Ability to stand and/or walk for at least 8 hours.
• Be physically able to lift, push, pull a minimum of 20 lbs.
• Occasionally lift/carry up to 20 lbs from ground to overhead up to 30 minutes.
• Occasionally climb a ladder to store materials or signage.
• Most work indoors with some outdoor periods.
• Capable of working in small spaces.

Responsibilities

• Daily cash handling and operating the cash register.
• Clean and maintain lighting and fixtures.
• Ensure security of inventory and currency to prevent theft.
• Report to Store Manager and follow company policies.
• Learn to operate computer console and other equipment related to the work task.
