Job summary

The Sales Associate position at The Children’s Place in Bronx, NY supports the Store Leadership Team to reach company goals while delivering high-quality customer service. You’ll apply product knowledge and effective selling techniques to help customers find items and complete purchases.

You will assist with stock and merchandising, maintain a clean store and backroom, and handle cash at the checkout. Flexibility to work weekends and evenings is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous retail experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Be aware of customer activity and respond with urgency to assist customers.
• Greet and acknowledge customers with appropriate service.
• Communicate product value and current promotions; offer solutions for out of stock items.
• Address customer concerns with sound judgment.
• Demonstrate selling skills to positively impact conversion.
• Provide fast, friendly service at the cashwrap; educate on the PLACE Card.
• Maintain stock levels; ensure size and style representation.
• Follow merchandise presentation, signage and display standards.
• Keep stockroom neat and organized; maintain a customer-ready environment.
• Perform daily housekeeping to company standard.
• Adhere to Loss Prevention procedures to protect assets.
• Report maintenance and facility needs promptly to leadership.
• Contribute to store goals with focused efforts; assist with stock replenishment as needed.
