Job summary

The Children’s Place in San Marcos, TX is hiring a Sales Associate to support the Store Leadership Team in achieving company goals. You will deliver outstanding customer service, leverage product knowledge, and apply effective selling techniques to meet store targets.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, promoting promotions, maintaining merchandise presentation, stocking, and keeping the stockroom neat and safe.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous retail experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with urgency and prioritize service.
• Greet customers and provide the appropriate level of service.
• Explain value and promotions, and offer solutions for out-of-stock items when necessary.
• Address customer concerns with sound judgment.
• Demonstrate selling skills to positively impact conversion.
• Provide fast, friendly service at the cashwrap and explain the PLACE Card benefits.
• Maintain stock levels and ensure sizes/styles are represented.
• Follow merchandise presentation, signage, and display standards.
• Keep stockroom neat, organized, and safe; maintain a customer-ready environment.
• Perform daily housekeeping per company standards.
• Support Loss Prevention procedures and protect company assets.
• Inform leadership of maintenance and facility needs promptly.
• Contribute to store goals and be flexible with stock processing.
