Job summary

The Children’s Place in Leesburg, VA is hiring a Sales Associate to support the Store Leadership Team in achieving company goals and delivering excellent customer service. You will demonstrate product knowledge, assist customers, and uphold visual standards across merchandise and stock areas.

You’ll greet customers, communicate promotions, manage stock and backroom organization, and process sales at the cashwrap while promoting the PLACE Card. Must be 18+ with prior retail experience preferred.

• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends, overnights, evenings and call-in shifts.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Be aware of customer activity and respond with a sense of urgency, prioritizing assisting customers over other tasks.
• Greet and acknowledge customers while providing the appropriate level of service.
• Effectively communicate value and quality of merchandise and discuss promotions.
• Address customer concerns with sound judgment.
• Demonstrate selling skills to positively impact conversion.
• Provide fast, friendly, accurate service at the cashwrap and educate on the PLACE Card.
• Maintain stock levels and ensure sizes/styles are represented.
• Follow merchandise presentation, signage and display standards.
• Keep stockroom neat, clean and organized and maintain a customer-ready environment.
• Perform daily housekeeping to company standard.
• Protect company assets by adhering to Loss Prevention procedures.
• Report maintenance and facility needs to Store Leadership promptly.
• Contribute to store goals and be flexible with stock processing as needed.
