Job summary

The Children’s Place in Charleston, SC is seeking a Sales Associate to support the Store Leadership Team in achieving company goals. You will deliver excellent customer service, share product knowledge, and utilize effective selling techniques.

Maintain store appearance, replenish stock, and ensure accurate sizing while keeping a clean backroom. Responsibilities include greeting customers, promoting promotions, handling the cashwrap, and upholding loss prevention standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous retail experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Be aware of customer activity and respond with urgency.
• Greet and acknowledge customers with appropriate service.
• Explain value and promotions; offer solutions for out-of-stock items.
• Address customer concerns with sound judgment.
• Demonstrate selling skills to impact conversion.
• Provide fast, friendly service at the cashwrap and explain PLACE Card benefits.
• Maintain appropriate stock levels and ensure size/style representation.
• Follow standards of merchandise presentation, signage, and display.
• Keep stockroom neat and safe; support a customer-ready environment.
• Perform daily housekeeping to company standards; protect assets from loss.
• Inform leadership of maintenance and safety needs promptly.
• Contribute to store goals with focused efforts.
• Be flexible with stock processing as needed.
