Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a retail associate to act as the point of contact for customers. You will help set plan-o-grams, stock merchandise, and assist customers while protecting company assets.

Responsibilities include unloading trucks, building displays, stocking shelves, and operating the cash register. The role requires frequent walking, lifting up to 40 pounds, and a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons; stock on shelves or sales floor.
• Build and rotate merchandise displays.
• Restock recovered merchandise and ensure shelves are faced.
• Assist customers by locating items and answering questions.
• Operate cash register; total purchases and bag items.
• Process payments and give correct change.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using handheld scanners.
• Keep front end clean; assist with sidewalk displays as needed.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.
