Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is hiring a Retail Associate to serve as the primary contact for customers, operate the cash register, and maintain clean, organized store areas. You will stock and rotate merchandise, build displays, and assist with curbside or sidewalk setups as needed.

The role requires basic math, cash handling, and ability to follow plan-o-gram guidance. Prior retail experience is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes; store merchandise in stock room or move to sales floor.
• Build merchandise displays.
• Stock merchandise; rotate and face shelves.
• Restock recovered merchandise.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise.
• Operate cash register and flatbed scanner; itemize and total purchases; bag merchandise.
• Collect payment from customer and make change.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using hand-held scanners as needed.
• Clean front end and help set up sidewalk displays.
