Job summary

The Children's Place in Pismo Beach, CA is hiring a Sales Associate to support the Store Leadership Team, deliver excellent customer service, and maintain product knowledge, promotions, and selling techniques.

You will handle stocking, merchandising, and compliance with safety and loss prevention, work a flexible schedule including weekends, and help drive store goals while delivering fast, friendly service at the cashwrap.

Responsibilities

• Be aware of customer activity and respond with a sense of urgency, prioritizing assisting customers over other tasks
• Greet and acknowledge customers while providing the appropriate level of service
• Effectively communicate value and quality of our merchandise while sharing promotions and offer solutions for out of stock items
• Exercise sound judgment in addressing customer concerns
• Demonstrate selling skills to positively impact conversion
• Provide fast, friendly service at the cashwrap and educate customers on the PLACE Card
• Maintain stock levels and ensure all sizes and styles are represented
• Follow standards of merchandise presentation, signage, and display
• Maintain a neat, clean stockroom and customer-ready environment with safety in mind
• Perform daily housekeeping to company standard
• Inform Store Leadership Team of maintenance needs for clean and safe environment
• Contribute to store goals with focused efforts
• Exhibit flexibility by processing stock as needed
