Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Sales Associate in Springfield, IL to assist customers, manage transactions, and maintain store presentation. You will greet shoppers, operate the cash register, locate and stock merchandise, and ensure displays are attractive and compliant with planograms.

Responsibilities include stocking, cleaning, and supporting store operations to maximize sales and customer satisfaction while protecting company assets. Prior retail experience is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Ability to read and follow planograms and merchandise presentation guides.
• Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service, greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total purchases.
• Follow company merchandise processes; unpack, stock, rotate merchandise, and build displays.
• Clean the store, take out trash, dust and mop floors, and assist with sidewalk displays.
