Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Sales Associate to serve as a friendly point of contact for customers, help them locate and purchase merchandise, operate the cash register, stock shelves, and maintain store cleanliness.

You will follow store procedures, manage cash handling, read planograms, build merchandise displays, and assist with sidewalk displays. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred; lifting up to 40 pounds is required in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service, greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total customer's purchase, collect payment and make change.
• Follow company merchandise processes; unpack, stock, restock, and rotate merchandise on shelves.
• Clean the store, take out trash, dust and mop store floors, and help set up displays.
