Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is hiring a Sales Associate to be a friendly, helpful presence in our store. You will assist customers, operate the cash register, stock merchandise, clean the store, and support the Store Manager to maximize sales and customer satisfaction.

Candidates should have strong communication, basic math and cash handling skills, and the ability to read planograms and follow merchandising guidelines. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service, greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total customer's purchase, collect payment and make change, bag merchandise.
• Follow company merchandising processes; unpack, stock, restock, and rotate merchandise on shelves and build displays.
• Clean the store, take out trash, dust and mop store floors, clean restroom and receiving room, and help set up sidewalk displays.
