Job summary

The Children’s Place in Chelsea, MA is seeking a Sales Associate to support the Store Leadership Team in achieving company goals. You will deliver excellent customer service, apply product knowledge, promote current promotions, and assist customers with finding items and sizes.

You will maintain proper merchandise presentation, replenish stock, and keep the store and backroom clean and organized. The role requires flexibility, including weekends and varied shifts, and a focus on loss prevention

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous retail experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Be aware of customer activity and respond with urgency.
• Greet and acknowledge customers with appropriate service level.
• Explain value and promotions and offer solutions for out of stock items.
• Address customer concerns with sound judgment.
• Demonstrate selling skills to positively impact conversion.
• Provide fast, friendly service at the cashwrap and educate on The PLACE Card.
• Maintain stock levels and ensure sizes and styles are represented.
• Follow standards of merchandise presentation, signage, and display.
• Keep a neat, clean stockroom and adhere to safety requirements.
• Perform daily housekeeping to company standards.
• Inform leadership of maintenance needs to keep store safe and clean.
• Contribute toward store goals with focused effort.
• Be flexible to process stock as needed.
