Job summary

The Children’s Place in Arlington, Virginia is seeking a Sales Associate to support the Store Leadership Team in achieving company goals. You will model excellent customer service and maintain merchandise presentation, replenishment, and a clean store and backroom.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, promoting promotions, handling cash, and keeping stock levels with accurate sizing. Weekend/evening availability is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous retail experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Be aware of customer activity and respond with a sense of urgency.
• Greet and acknowledge customers while providing the appropriate level of service.
• Effectively communicate value and quality of our merchandise while sharing promotions and offering solutions for out of stock items.
• Exercise sound judgment in addressing customer concerns.
• Demonstrate selling skills to positively impact conversion.
• Provide fast, friendly service at the cashwrap and educate customers on the PLACE Card.
• Maintain appropriate stock levels and ensure sizes and styles are represented.
• Follow standards of merchandise presentation, signage, and display.
• Support and maintain a neat, clean stockroom and customer-ready environment; follow safety requirements.
• Perform daily housekeeping duties to company standard.
• Inform Store Leadership Team of maintenance and facility needs promptly.
• Contribute focused, well-managed efforts towards achievement of store goals.
• Exhibit flexibility by processing stock when necessary.
