Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a store associate to serve as the primary point of contact for customers, help set up plan-o-grams, stock shelves, and maintain a clean, organized store environment. You will unload trucks, assist shoppers, operate the cash register, and support merchandising and ordering activities.

The role emphasizes friendly service, safety, and teamwork in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.
Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.
Basic mathematical skills.
Ability to perform IBM cash register functions.

Responsibilities

Unload trucks.
Receive, unpack, and stock merchandise; set up stock room and shelves.
Build merchandise displays and rotate stock.
Assist customers in locating merchandise and greet customers.
Operate cash register; itemize and total purchases; make change.
Assist with ordering merchandise using handheld scanners.
Clean store front, restrooms, stockroom and set up sidewalk displays when needed.
Comply with company policies and procedures.
