Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods is seeking store teammates who are passionate about helping customers and delivering an exceptional shopping experience. You will greet customers, understand their needs, and support their purchases with product knowledge and friendly service.

You will uphold merchandising standards, promote loyalty programs, follow safety policies, and help create an inclusive store environment where everyone feels welcome, safe, and respected.

Qualifications

• Prior retail sales, cashier, or customer-focused experience preferred.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift up to 35 lbs repeatedly.
• Ability to work extended periods of standing or walking (up to 4 hours).
• Ability to work at heights greater than 4 feet with ladders or platforms.

Responsibilities

• Greet everyone and proactively approach customers to understand their needs and support their shopping experience.
• Uphold company merchandising and presentation standards by following floor sets and signage requirements.
• Promote company programs (loyalty, warranty sales, credit card enrollment, etc.).
• Adhere to safety, loss prevention and SOPs, maintaining confidentiality of company information.
• Create an inclusive store environment where teammates and customers feel welcome and respected.
• Take an all-hands-on-deck approach to support the team across the store.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

• Promote company programs (i.e., customer loyalty program participation, warranty sales, private label credit card enrollment, etc.).
• Adhere to established policies and procedures related to safety, loss prevention and standard operating procedures. Maintains confidentiality of all Company information.
• Create an inclusive store environment where everyone (teammates and customer) feels welcome, safe, and is treated with respect.
• Take an all-hands-on-deck approach to support the team across the store.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Prior retail sales, cashier, or customer-focused experience preferred.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift up 15 to 35 lbs. items repetitively (up to 25 times per hour).
• Ability to work extended periods of time (up to 4 hours) standing or walking. Ability to work at heights greater than 4 feet with use of a ladder, aerial lifting device, or platform.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods of time (up to 2 hours continuously).
