Overview

We are currently looking for the right Full-Time Retail Sales Associate to join our Team!

$16.50 to $19.00 per hour

We offer an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process. Our retail sales associates can earn UP TO 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $3.35 per hour on top of your hourly rate.

Position Summary

We are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff of the store to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. A Pawnbroker/Retail Sales Associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions. A Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate thrives on engaging with customers and assists with customer inquiries and problem resolution. The associates will work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations) and much more.

The Full-Time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate position offers an hourly wage, plus employees earn commission based on productivity. The successful Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate's pay depends on location, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Greets and interacts with all customers to develop rapport and provide appropriate financial solutions.
  • Performs non-management open/close procedures.
  • Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintains merchandise displays.
  • Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Handles all cash and negotiable items in accordance with policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Answers incoming calls per company standards.
  • Effectively communicates to customers the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions.
  • Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers; treats others with respect.
  • Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
  • Completes required training successfully.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
  • Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be willing and able to perform duties for extended periods (standing, walking, etc.) as required by law.
  • Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified.
  • Employees may assist customers outside the building or retrieve products from exterior storage areas.
  • Minimum Age: 18 years old
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
  • Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team-oriented.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations
  • Cash handling experience is preferred.
  • Should be able to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
  • Must have the ability to work a flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
  • Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and office machines.

Commission Plan Information

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to FirstCash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission, based on gross profit of personal performance. Additional details are provided during the interview process.
