Job summary

Capital Pawn is seeking a Full-Time Retail Sales Associate to join our team in Jackson, MS. You’ll help customers with sales, loans, and product inquiries, and you’ll earn hourly pay plus commission on top.

The role involves maintaining an organized sales floor, handling cash, and supporting store operations. Earned Wage Access, employee discounts, and health benefits are offered where eligible.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ with a high school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs., and perform physical tasks.
• Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Comfortable working with a variety of merchandise (firearms in FFL locations; certification provided)
• Strong customer service skills and a team‑oriented mindset
• Basic math and computer skills; experience using retail checkout systems is a plus
• Willingness to assist customers or retrieve merchandise from exterior areas
• Bilingual applicants encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers with sales, loans, and product inquiries
• Support customers with pawn and short-term loan services by explaining terms, completing paperwork, and ensuring a smooth, customer-focused experience
• Process sales and loan activity accurately while following company and regulatory guidelines
• Evaluate merchandise for condition and value to support buying, selling, and loan decisions
• Maintain a clean, organized sales floor and merchandise displays
• Handle cash and negotiable items responsibly
• Support store operations, including basic opening/closing tasks
• Communicate clearly with customers and team members
• Complete required training and follow company policies
• Perform other duties as assigned

$18.00 – $22.40 per hour + Unlimited Commission
