Job Title and Compensation

Full-Time Retail Sales Associate

Pay: $17.65 to $20.75 per hour. Commission structure up to 8% on transactions, potentially adding $1.00 per hour on top of hourly rate.

Opportunity to earn unlimited commission above your hourly base rate.

Position Summary

We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides. The associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions. They assist with customer inquiries and problem resolution and work with a wide variety of merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Greets and interacts with all customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
• Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
• Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintains product displays.
• Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Handles all cash and negotiable items in accordance with policies and regulations.
• Answers incoming calls per company standards.
• Effectively communicates legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions.
• Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, displaying respect and using effective communication tools.
• Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
• Successfully completes the assigned training.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications

• Willingness and ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness and ability to perform tasks for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting).
• Ability to work with firearms and be firearms certified.
• Allowed to assist customers outside the building and retrieve products from exterior storage.
• Minimum age 18 years old.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to work, serve customers, work with people, and be team‑oriented.
• Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations proficiently.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Flexibility to work multiple locations and a flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.

Commission Plan Information

Commission incentive plan is proprietary to FirstCash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2‑8% commission based on gross profit of personal performance. Detailed information will be provided during the interview process.
