What you’ll be doing...

As a full‑time Verizon Retail Sales Associate, you’ll grow your career within a retail store focused on unlocking your full potential and sales success. Here’s what you can expect:

• Generate retail sales by using your passion for cutting‑edge technology and exceptional customer service to expand the Verizon network.
• Learn and uncover customers’ needs by creating connections and asking the right questions.
• Position product insights and solution recommendations to provide customers with a complete top‑down sales solution.
• Close sales by using phenomenal communication skills to fulfill customer needs with simple and intuitive tech solutions.
• Continuously develop yourself through ongoing training and up‑skill in operational functions across merchandising and inventory.
• Potential to grow your customer base by placing outbound calls and sending text messages to current Verizon customers who are interested in our products and services.
• Opportunities to engage with the community outside of the store to expand your loyal customer base, including at off‑site Verizon‑sponsored events.

We’re hiring immediately! This isn’t your typical entry‑level retail position. Whether you’re just starting out or have years of sales experience, you can earn $16.00 to $21.00 per hour in base pay, plus up to $18,000 a year in individual‑based commissions if you hit all your sales goals. With our commission program, top performers could make an extra $14,500 or more in commissions, giving you a chance to earn a total of $65,000+ to $75,500+ annually. Compensation varies by geography, hours worked, and performance.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

• High‑school diploma or GED.
• One or more years of relevant experience, demonstrated through work experience and/or military experience.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays (you’ll know your schedule four weeks in advance).
• Openness to pick up additional shifts and earn more income, typically during the summer months, November through December, and/or during peak vacation periods.

• Experience working in a commission‑based environment.
• Demonstrated sales experience communicating with customers to find solutions.

Depending on the role, employees have the opportunity to receive compensation in the form of premium pay such as overtime, shift differential, holiday pay, allowances, and more. Newly hired employees receive up to 15 days of vacation per year, which grows with additional service. For part‑timers, coverage will vary as you may be eligible for some of these benefits depending on your individual circumstances. This is a commission‑based position with the potential to earn more. The starting base pay rate for the Maryland location(s) listed on this job requisition is $18.27 per hour.
