Job Summary

The Retail Sales Associate’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  1. Greet customers with a smile and make them feel welcome; offer to assist them.
  2. Be knowledgeable of our products and pricing.
  3. Use sales techniques to drive sales to meet daily goals.
  4. Handle cash, checks, and credit cards accurately.
  5. Verify and balance the cash drawer.
  6. Produce reports and departmental documents as assigned.
  7. Receive, price, and stock merchandise following store procedures and standards.
  8. Keep the store (floors, fixtures) and merchandise clean and organized.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Demonstrable sales skills and excellent math skills.
  • Ability to work with money, credit cards, and cash receipts.
  • Ability to give full attention to what others are saying, understand points being made, ask questions appropriately, and avoid interrupting.
  • Retail experience is a plus.
