Job summary

Hammer Made is seeking energetic stylists for its retail stores. Stylists build loyal customer relationships, drive sales, and act as brand ambassadors with a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves approach to fashion and customer care.

Responsibilities include delivering consultative service, maintaining store presentation, supporting events, and collaborating with partners to grow the Hammer Made brand in a busy retail environment. High school diploma and retail experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create a positive, friendly, consultative service environment focused on customer relationships and brand differentiation
• Drive personal daily and weekly sales to meet monthly targets
• Handle customer situations per policy; escalate when needed
• Provide feedback to leadership to improve daily sales trends
• Maintain neat, clean, organized sales floor, cash wrap and fitting room areas
• Support visual merchandising and merchandise assortment to promote sales and store traffic
• Promote in-store events and Hammer Made branding
• Collaborate with other store locations and external partners as needed

Achieve Sales Results

• Create a positive, friendly, and consultative service-oriented customer environment that prioritizes customer relationships and sets Hammer Made apart from other stores.
• Drives personal daily and weekly sales results to meet monthly targets.
• Handles customer situations in compliance with policy and procedures; escalates issues as appropriate.
• Offers suggestions to the leadership team about how to improve daily sales trends.

Operational Expectations

• Ensures company standards of neat, clean and organized sales floor, cash wrap and fitting room areas are met.
• Take part in visual merchandising initiatives. Help execute and ensure a top quality, appealing, merchandise assortment that promotes effective sales and store traffic.
• Assists with promotion of in-store events and promotions to increase the customer base, with particular focus on building the Hammer Made brand.
• Collaborates effectively with other store locations and with outside Business Partners as needed.

Education and Experience Requirements

• High School diploma
• 1-2 years of successful retail experience and/or customer service experience, preferred

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a retail store environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

• Physical requirements include: standing and being mobile on the sales floor for extended periods of time, walking, stooping, and occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This can be a full or part-time position with hours scheduled at variable times and days each week to meet business needs. Schedules include day and evening shifts, weekends and holidays.

This position does not include out of town travel.
