Job summary

Ashley Furniture in the US is seeking a Retail Sales Associate to transform store guests into loyal customers. You’ll guide guests, share inspiration on home furnishings, and help them design rooms they will love.

You’ll deliver world‑class service at the front desk, process sales and credits, assist with inventory, and support opening/closing, all while meeting sales goals and KPI targets.

Qualifications

• Legally authorized to work in the US.
• At least 18 years old.
• Ability to lift, tug, and pull 25 lbs with or without accommodation.
• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• 1 year customer service and/or sales experience, preferred.
• Outgoing, friendly, and easy to talk to; communicates to inspire action.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to share fresh ideas and contribute to a dynamic team.
• Thrives in a service-focused environment with strong customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Deliver world-class service and delight guests at the front desk.
• Provide outstanding service, maintain a welcoming, professional presence, and represent the brand.
• Process sales orders, cash handling, and assist with credit applications and financing.
• Address customer concerns independently when possible.
• Assist with store opening/closing activities, cash reconciliation, and daily checklists.
• Support inventory management and loss prevention, including bi-annual stock checks.
• Meet and exceed sales goals, align to KPI’s and performance standards.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned by management.

What You’ll Do:

• Thrives in an environment that rewards for delivering world-class service and delighting our guests.
• Provide outstanding service experience for every customer and guest. Maintain a welcoming, professional, visible presence at the front desk; engage with guests, ensuring they are always treated in a cordial, respectful manner representing the Company's brand image.
• Accurately and efficiently process sales orders, adhering to cash handling protocols. Aid customers with credit applications and financing matters as required while maintaining thorough documentation of sales transactions
• Address customer concerns independently whenever possible
• Aid in store opening and closing activities, including cash reconciliation and completion of daily checklists
• Support inventory management and loss prevention procedures, including participation in bi-annual inventory checks
• Meet and exceed sales goals, align to KPI’s and performance standards
• Complete any additional tasks as assigned by management

What You Bring:

• Legally authorized to work in the US.

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred
• 1 year customer service and/or sales experience, preferred
