Kelley’s Market in Huntley, IL is hiring Retail Sales Associates to assist customers, handle cashier transactions, stock shelves, and maintain a clean, welcoming store. The role offers both full-time and part-time opportunities with an overnight differential for late shifts.

Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years old.
• Provide friendly, dependable customer service in a retail environment.
• Communicate clearly and work effectively with team members and store leadership.
• Use basic math skills to handle cash and process transactions accurately.
• Be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Stand for extended periods, frequently lift up to 30 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Work in coolers, freezers, and outdoor conditions.
• Obtain an alcohol sales operator license where required.

Responsibilities

• Operate the cash register and point-of-sale system, process purchases and refunds, and handle cash accurately.
• Answer questions about products, prices, and promotions.
• Stock and organize shelves, coolers, freezers, and merchandise displays.
• Keep the sales floor, restrooms, and exterior areas clean, including fuel pumps and the car wash where applicable.
• Maintain clean, stocked Kelley’s Café food and beverage areas and follow food safety procedures.
• Complete shift paperwork and assist with cash and safe reconciliation.
• Follow safety, security, and cash-handling procedures.
• Communicate customer concerns, equipment problems, and other issues to store leadership.
• Work with your team to keep daily store operations running smoothly.

What You’ll Do

Help Our Customers

• $15–$18 per hour, based on relevant experience, knowledge, skills, education, and certifications.
