Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Central Territory in Dubuque, IA is seeking a friendly Retail Sales Associate for our thrift store to deliver great customer service and keep the shopping area welcoming and organized. You will greet customers, process sales, balance the register, restock merchandise, and support daily sales with the team.

This part-time role includes evenings, weekends, and holidays, with paid training and ongoing coaching.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or currently pursuing.
• Ability to provide friendly customer service.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand and walk for most of the shift.
• Previous retail, cashier, customer service, or thrift store experience.
• Experience with point of sale systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide friendly, helpful service
• Operate the register and process sales transactions accurately
• Help open, close, and balance the register as assigned
• Restock merchandise and keep displays neat and easy to shop
• Help sort, prepare, and move merchandise to the sales floor

We are looking for a friendly, dependable Retail Sales Associate to provide great customer service, keep the store organized, and help create a welcoming shopping experience for customers and donors.
