Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer for Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, and Washington D.C., is hiring a Retail Sales Associate (RSA) in Baltimore, Maryland. The RSA plays a vital role in maintaining a strong retail presence at their assigned store while driving sales and customer engagement across the region. Responsibilities include proactively reaching out to potential customers, assisting walk-in customers, and ensuring a seamless buying experience. Candidates with previous sales or customer service experience, ideally in retail or equipment-related industries, are preferred. A college degree in a related field is also preferred.

Requirements for the Retail Sales Associate Position:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to engage customers, build relationships, and drive sales.
• Self-motivated with a proactive approach to outbound calling and lead generation.
• Familiarity with heavy equipment, construction products, or related industries is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits:

Starting Range: $65,000 - $75,000 per year

Salary may vary based on experience, skills, qualifications, education, location, and other factors. The compensation package may include performance-based incentives.
