Brewers Decorator Centres in Alton is seeking a friendly Part Time Retail Sales Advisor to join our team on a 32-hour week. You will provide exceptional service in-store, help customers with product choices, and support stock and merchandising across the Alton branch.

No prior product knowledge is required – we offer full training. The role includes weekend rotas on Saturdays, a pension scheme, company benefits, and career development within the Brewers family.

Qualifications

• Exceptional customer service and communication to translate customer requirements into product recommendations
• Approachable, with an open and friendly personality—happy to help customers and colleagues
• Enjoys working in a team but can work independently when needed
• Willing to attend training to become a Fire Marshall and/or First Aider if required
• Keen to learn, develop skills, and progress within our industry
• Retail experience or product knowledge would be advantageous but is not essential as full training will be given

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional service to customers in branch, delivering on our reputation for Brewers quality
• Use product knowledge to recommend the best items for customers' needs
• Mix paint for customers, process specialist orders, and request stock within the branch network
• Develop sales of wallpaper, paint, and fabric within the company product range
• Build relationships with customers to identify needs and provide comprehensive service
• Promote seasonal and special items, merchandising goods in-store to increase visibility and sales
• Assist with stock maintenance in the branch
• Unload deliveries and ensure stock is distributed throughout the store

Providing exceptional service to our customers, you will play a vital part in helping us serve customers and keeping the branch and its delivery service running smoothly - experience with our products isn't necessary, if you bring great customer service and team working skills to the table, we'll give you everything you need to succeed.Located on the Rowan Industrial Estate, our Alton store joined the Brewers family over 20 years ago, previously trading as Cane Adam we have been successfully serving the local community ever since. Inside the store you will find a large selection of trade and designer paints as well as a vast selection of wallcoverings, tools and materials - everything our customers need for their professional or home décor projects. Our friendly team have a wealth of industry knowledge between them so if you are looking to expand your skills, you will be in the best place to do it.
