Job Overview

The Retail Sales Account Representative (Distribution Channel) is responsible for supporting sales efforts and executing strategic sales objectives within key retail accounts in the St. Louis/Kansas City area. In this role, the RSA will have the opportunity to develop strategic selling skills by building diverse, collaborative relationships with Retail customers, Distribution Sales Managers, and Territory managers. Additionally, the RSA will be responsible for executing the overall pull-through sales initiatives to grow the AHF Brand portfolio and gain both market share and 'share of mind' within key retail accounts.

Job Duties
  • Target and establish relationships with key retailers in the St. Louis/Kansas City region to cultivate and build meaningful relationships. Grow AHF brand presence in coordination with strategic initiatives.
  • Educate distributor representatives to grow business in their territories. Assist with presentations to retailers and customers to gain AHF Brand loyalty and grow market share.
  • New business development (all channels) and existing account development, focusing on executing strategic retail sales objectives in coordination with distribution strategy to achieve quarterly and annual sales objectives.
  • Build credibility, confidence, and collaboration with both internal and external partners through regular and ongoing communication.
  • Participate in national and regional sales campaigns and new process and product launches in coordination with the national sales team.
  • Develop, implement, and manage sound key retail account plans to achieve agreed-upon sales results within the region.
  • Continually evaluate current and future sales probabilities, market trends, pricing, competition, and new opportunities within each product category. Collect and report accurate and timely information as requested.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the AHF flooring portfolio and products, distribution product portfolio, and the retail flooring industry.

  • Work within the team scope of AHF Products on relationships and completing the tasks on a timely basis.
  • Organized and capable of planning for weeks in advance.
  • Will require in-field travel of up to 25-50%.
  • Computer proficiency.
