Delivers exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects. Identifies customer needs and provides advice and guidance regarding financial solutions that are in the best interests of customers. Works collaboratively within the branch and with BMO partners to deliver the desired customer experience and achieve overall business objectives.

Note: This position will act as an originator of consumer loans as defined by Regulation Z, Regulation G, and the S.A.F.E. Act. It requires Federal registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry, along with a criminal background review and credit check. Restrictions on performing real estate agent activities may apply.

• Takes a lead in proactively engaging with existing customers and prospects by providing needs-based assessments to grow loyalty and identify opportunities.
• Engages customers to complete needs assessments, identify financial solutions, and recommend tailored solutions across banking channels.
• Offers advice on digital and self-serve banking options to enhance customer experience.
• Supports customer transactions based on traffic and needs.
• Builds relationships within the community to grow BMO’s business.
• Ensures compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal policies during credit audits and lending processes.
• Applies risk management principles to protect assets and maintain portfolio quality.
• Makes credit recommendations aligned with sound principles and bank policies.
• Acts as a collaborative team member within the branch and market.
• Understands customer needs and integrates marketing promotions into conversations.
• Organizes work for accuracy and completeness.
• Finds creative ways to personalize customer experiences.
• Participates in ongoing improvements to the branch customer experience.

Qualifications:

• Typically 2-3 years of relevant experience; post-secondary education desirable or equivalent experience.
• Canada-specific: Registration to sell investment products completed if applicable.
• Relevant lending qualifications and designations.
• Knowledge of personal and small business banking needs and solutions.
• Experience with retail investments and lending products is an asset.
• Proficient with social media, tablets, smartphones, and online tools.
• Experience in customer service or sales with a focus on personal experience.
• Strong interpersonal, listening, problem-solving, and adaptability skills.

Salary: $45,900.00 - $73,700.00
