U.S. Only: This position will act as an originator of consumer loans as defined by Regulation Z, Regulation G, and the S.A.F.E. Act. Requires Federal registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry. The Bank will guide you on registration requirements. A criminal background review and credit history evaluation are also required, along with restrictions on performing in a real estate agent capacity.
Responsibilities

- Advise clients on digital and self-serve banking options to enhance convenience.
- Support customer transactions based on traffic and demand.
- Expand BMO’s business by outreach, appointment setting, and community relationship building.
- Ensure compliance through accurate data entry and lending recommendations, addressing questions and resolving issues.
- Apply risk management principles to maintain portfolio quality and safeguard assets.
- Make credit recommendations for personal loans, including home financing, following sound principles and policies.
- Collaborate within a versatile branch and market team.
- Understand customer needs and incorporate marketing promotions into discussions.
- Organize work information for accuracy and completeness.
- Innovate to personalize customer experiences and improve branch service quality.
- Contribute to overall business results and customer experience enhancements.

Qualifications
- Typically 2-3 years relevant experience; post-secondary degree desirable or equivalent.
- For Canada: Investment product registration completed, as appropriate.
- Lending qualifications and designations required.
- Knowledge of personal and small business customer needs, retail investments, and lending products.
- Experience in financial services is an asset.
- Proficient with social media, tablets, smartphones, and online tools.
- Experience in customer service or sales with a focus on personal experience.
- Strong interpersonal and listening skills, problem-solving ability, and adaptability.
