RETAIL REGIONAL SUPPORT SPECIALIST

LOCATION: Branch DIVISION: CRO

FUNCTION DESCRIPTION:

This position supports the onboarding and operational integrity for branches located in Pueblo, Colorado Springs, and surrounding areas. Provides onboarding support and coverage as necessary to ensure member service standards and branch sales are being maintained.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

Reports to: Sr. Manager – Branch Operations

Contacts: Credit Union members, merchants, vendors, other financial institutions, miscellaneous Bellco departments and employees.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

Education: High School diploma or equivalent

Experience: 2+ years financial institution experience

2+ years branch operations experience

Skills: Ability to schedule and manage one’s own time

Ability to work independently without supervision

Strong operational and leadership skills

Clear communication, both verbal and written

Knowledge of computer programs ex. Excel and Word

Additions or modifications to these requirements may be made as needed to maintain service levels to members.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Provides a valuable and enjoyable experience to both internal customers and members during interactions. Consistently suggests ways to improve the member/customer experience through improved processes and technology.
  • Support corporate programs to improve operational efficiency and improve service to members.
  • Monitors strict adherence to all credit union policies and procedures. Coordinates activities to ensure written policies and procedures remain up to date.
  • Coordinates visits to Pueblo, Colorado Springs, and surrounding branches to work with Bellco branch personnel including branch management to ensure most current processes are in place.
  • Schedule regular visits to branches to inspect operational activities and documentation in preparation for branch audits.
  • Facilitates on-the-job training with retail staff as needed.
  • Determines job readiness through post-training role-plays and testing.
  • Report findings from branch inspections to Branch Operations Manager with analysis of current operational status and action plan for improvement if necessary.
  • Assists with branch build tasks such as testing, branch set up and meeting vendors at branch locations.
  • Assist in operational coaching/training of all Bellco branch personnel including branch management.
  • Understands and effectively implements all appropriate regulations.
  • Maintains thorough knowledge of lending processes, Security and Fraud procedures, and functions of all automated equipment. Serves as a branch-wide source of knowledge on credit union operating procedures in order to provide necessary support to branch staff.
  • Regular and punctual in-person attendance.
  • Serves as back-up support to the Retail Operations Specialist if needed. Requires knowledge of retail audit process including in-person and centralized audits.
  • Indirectly manages branch staff and may serve as manager on duty in Pueblo, Colorado Springs and surrounding areas.

Management retains the discretion to add or change the duties of the position at any time.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

In order to meet the financial service needs of our members, position may necessitate changes in hours or location.

Bellco requires all employees who drive their personal or a company vehicle in the routine performance of their jobs to have a valid Driver’s License. They must also provide proof of valid insurance.

Non-exempt branch roles may earn monthly bonuses for meeting production goals and quarterly bonuses for meeting team goals.
Exempt branch roles may earn quarterly bonuses for production and team goals.
Exempt non-branch management roles may be eligible for an annual managerial bonus.
Non-branch non-management roles may be eligible for on-the-spot bonuses for extraordinary performance.
