Job summary

Homesense at The TJX Companies, Inc. in Austin is seeking team members to execute receiving and merchandising standards while delivering an excellent customer experience.

You will engage with customers, maintain store organization, and support Associates to ensure efficient operations. Ideal candidates have 1 year of retail experience and at least 6 months of leadership, with strong communication, multitasking, and the ability to lift heavy objects.

Qualifications

• 1 year retail experience required or preferred.
• 6 months of leadership experience required or preferred.
• Superior communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities.
• Ability to lift heavy objects with or without accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Creates a positive internal and external customer experience
• Orchestrates truck delivery and ensures merchandise is processed onto the sales floor
• Trains and mentors Associates on merchandising and processing principles
• Ensures merchandise is properly tagged, hung, and coded
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of backroom and sales floor
• Promotes safety, labor compliance, and loss prevention measures
• Communicates effectively with management and Associates to address priorities
• Supports store initiatives and programs as needed
• Other duties as assigned
