You will work with legal and internal teams to keep leases current, track critical dates, and ensure compliance with consumer protection and retail regulations. 5+ years of paralegal or contract experience and CRE/retail law knowledge are required.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and redline retail leases and related amendments.

• Track critical dates: expirations, options, escalations, notices.
• Coordinate with landlords, brokers, and outside counsel.
• Assist due diligence for new stores: title, zoning, permits.
• Review vendor agreements for legal and compliance risks.
• Maintain centralized, audit-ready contract and real estate records.

We are seeking a Retail Real Estate & Contracts Paralegal to support the legal agreements behind our telecommunications retail store network. In this role, you will draft, review, and manage retail leases, real estate documents, and commercial contracts for our store locations. You will work with our legal team and internal departments such as store development, operations, and finance to keep our locations compliant, our agreements well organized, and our critical dates tracked. The ideal candidate combines paralegal experience with working knowledge of retail law and commercial real estate law.Key ResponsibilitiesDraft, review, and redline retail lease agreements, amendments, renewals, subleases, and lease terminationsPrepare and maintain lease abstracts, summarizing rent, term, options, CAM charges, and tenant obligationsManage the full contract lifecycle: intake, negotiation support, execution, renewals, and terminationTrack critical dates such as lease expirations, renewal options, rent escalations, and notice deadlinesCoordinate with landlords, brokers, and outside counsel on lease negotiations and property mattersSupport due diligence for new store locations, including title review, zoning, permits, and licensingReview agreements with vendors, suppliers, and service providers for legal and compliance risksHelp ensure retail operations comply with consumer protection, advertising, and local retail regulationsMaintain a centralized contract and real estate database with accurate, audit-ready recordsPrepare legal documents, correspondence, and filings under attorney supervisionAssist with disputes, audits, and compliance reviews by gathering records and preparing summariesDevelop templates, checklists, and reporting to improve contract and lease processesParalegal certificate or degree, with 5+ years of paralegal or contract experienceWorking knowledge of retail law, including consumer protection, advertising standards, and licensingWorking knowledge of commercial real estate law, including commercial leasing, property rights, zoning, and landlord-tenant mattersHands-on experience with contract drafting, redlining, and contract or lease management softwareStrong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple deadlinesClear written and verbal communication skillsExperience in telecommunications, retail, or multi-location businesses is a plus
