Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a store associate to ensure a clean, safe, and inviting shopping environment. You will provide fast, friendly customer service and support other associates while maintaining daily store standards.

The role requires following sanitation guidelines, performing scheduled cleaning, and adhering to company policies. The candidate should be able to lift light loads and stand for extended periods in a busy retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to learn multiple tasks and handle technical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, friendly, and accurate customer service to create a positive shopping experience.
• Maintain an atmosphere of courteous and helpful cooperation with associates.
• Sweep and clean floors on nights with no scheduled vendor services.
• Weekly cleaning of Produce, Market and Deli Departments.
• Follow QA daily check list and sanitation standards set by Food Lion.
• Observe and correct unsafe conditions and report accidents to the Manager on Duty.
• Ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
