Job summary

Everforth Apex Systems seeks a seasoned QE Manager to lead testing across web, mobile, POS, and backend services for a large retail platform. You will guide automated testing strategy, ensure end-to-end quality for customer journeys, and drive test coverage and KPI tracking in an agile environment.

You’ll mentor QE staff, promote shift-left practices, and partner with Product, Dev, and UX to deliver reliable, secure shopping experiences for millions of users.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in quality assurance/quality engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience leading QA/QE teams in retail/ecommerce.
  • Hands-on with automated testing tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).
  • Experience with API testing and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of quality engineers testing ecommerce platforms.
  • Define testing strategies across customer journeys (search, cart, checkout, payments).
  • Oversee test planning, execution, and automation across UI and API layers.
  • Collaborate with Product, Dev, DevOps, and UX in agile settings.

# Retail QE ManagerApply**Job#: 3052019****Job Description:**We are seeking a seasoned Quality Engineering (QE) Manager to lead quality efforts across our enterprise platforms, including web, mobile, POS, backend services, and third-party integrations. This role is ideal for a leader with deep knowledge of retail and eCommerce systems, customer journeys, and agile testing practices. You'll build and scale automated testing strategies that ensure a seamless, secure, and reliable online shopping experience for millions of customers.Key Responsibilities:· Lead and manage a team of quality engineers focused on testing eCommerce, retail platforms (web, mobile apps, and APIs).· Define and implement testing strategies for customer journeys including product search, cart, checkout, payments, personalization, and order tracking.· Oversee test planning and execution across functional, regression, integration test phases.· Drive automation across the front end (UI) and backend (API/microservices) layers using modern tools.· Ensure quality of key platform integrations like payment gateways, shipping providers, recommendation engines, and loyalty systems.· Collaborate with Product, Dev, DevOps, and UX teams in agile/scrum settings to ensure release quality.· Track QA KPIs (e.g., defect leakage, test coverage, automation rate) and continuously improve quality engineering processes.· Lead hiring, mentoring, and development of QE team members.· Advocate for shift-left testing and continuous quality culture.Qualifications:· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.· 7+ years of experience in quality assurance/quality engineering roles.· 3+ years of experience managing QA/QE teams in the retail or eCommerce industry.· Strong knowledge of retail/eCommerce platforms, systems, and customer lifecycle (search, browse, checkout, delivery).· Ensure robust test coverage across order management, payments, logistics, returns, inventory, and fulfillment processes.·· Hands-on experience with automated testing tools like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar.· Familiarity with testing APIs and microservices using tools like Postman or REST Assured.· Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and agile project tools (Jira, TestRail, Zephyr).· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Preferred Skills:· Experience with platforms such as Shopify Plus, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Magento, or custom eCommerce stacks.· Knowledge of A/B testing frameworks and experimentation tools.· Exposure to performance testing and observability tools (e.g., New Relic, Datadog).· ERP platform experience (Oracle, SAP, NetSuite).· Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP) *Everforth Apex is a world-class IT services company that serves thousands of clients across the globe.
