Description:

The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing, leading, and achieving goals for the back production area, including setting production and sales targets. The role involves directing daily production, leading the team, and driving business success. Key responsibilities include building, leading, and retaining motivated high-performing teams through effective leadership of Retail Merchandise Processors. The Production Manager maintains high standards of customer service, delivering respectful and dignified service to foster loyalty to the Goodwill brand. This position is a member of the Retail Team.

Specific Duties:

  1. Follow all Goodwill policies and safety procedures. Must possess professional etiquette.
  2. Execute retail operations plans to achieve targeted growth in profit, revenue, and production for the store.
  3. Manage daily store operations, including meeting employee and customer needs, and opening and closing the store.
  4. Coordinate with the Store Manager to analyze and develop cost-effective product generation; monitor product levels daily to meet sales targets. Must also identify donation sources during processing.
  5. Make decisions related to daily retail operations within the defined work area.
  6. Record production data daily.
  7. Ensure store compliance with policies on Loss Prevention and Safety; implement necessary changes to meet legal requirements and minimize risks.
  8. Interview, hire, and evaluate top talent; manage and review team performance.
  9. Coordinate with various Goodwill Divisions.
  10. Maintain a professional appearance and wear the company-issued uniform.
  11. Attend work regularly.
  12. Perform all other essential duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

High School diploma or GED required. Two years of retail management experience, preferably in thrift retail. One year of customer service or public contact experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
