Job summary

Goodwill Industries® of Sacramento Valley and Northern Nevada, Inc. is seeking a part-time Clerk Processor to handle cash, merchandise processing, pricing, tagging, and display of donated goods. You will contribute to a clean, organized store and deliver friendly service to shoppers and donors.

The role supports merchandising, floor presentation, and rapid processing in a fast-paced environment, with emphasis on accuracy and teamwork. Flexible scheduling and weekend/holiday coverage are required.

Qualifications

• Experience or knowledge in retail or warehouse environments.
• Ability to read and write English and communicate effectively.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Willing to work weekends and holidays.
• Accurate cash handling and sales register operation.
• Able to perform repetitive tasks with attention to quality.
• Safety-conscious and compliant with policies.
• Proof of identification and work eligibility.
• Capable of performing essential Clerk Processor duties.
• Good customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to Kaizen principles of workstation organization.
• Cleans, sorts, hangs, and tags saleable items; prices per guide.
• Assesses quality, style, type, and usefulness; remove unacceptable items.
• Stocks and presents merchandise for maximum salability.
• Operates cash register with accuracy.
• Provides quality customer service to shoppers, donors and employees.
• Loads/unloads trailer safely.
• Maintains floor appearance and store environment.
• Ensures safety and proper functioning of doors, controls, and equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
