Join Our Growing BILH Team as a Retail Pharmacy Technician

When you join the BILH team, you're making a difference in people's lives. The Retail Pharmacy Technician provides technical support under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist in an outpatient/retail pharmacy setting.

Responsibilities
  1. Prepare take-home medications, perform compounding, and manage inventory.
  2. Utilize pharmacy equipment and technology efficiently.
  3. Handle drop-off and pick-up duties, along with quality control tasks.
  4. Participate in training and orientation of new technicians and pharmacy students.
  5. Assist with bedside delivery to patients.
  6. Manage medication requests and administrative tasks related to prescriptions.
  7. Respond to formulary and medication assistance inquiries.
  8. Assist with medication reconciliation and transition of care programs.
  9. Investigate and resolve prescription issues, communicating with patients as needed.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Mass Registered Pharmacy Tech license or registration required; Certification preferred.
  • 1-3 years of related experience in healthcare or retail pharmacy.
  • Knowledge of prior-authorization workflows, payer relations, and prescription claims adjudication.
  • Proficiency with computer systems, including web-based applications and Microsoft Office.

Physical and Organizational Expectations
