Job summary

Phelps Health in Missouri is seeking a part-time Retail Pharmacy Technician to maintain inventory, process prescriptions, and assist customers in a fast-paced hospital pharmacy environment.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, pharmacy experience preferred, and may have Pharmacy Technician Certification; duties include inputting prescriptions, cash handling, OTC stocking, and collaborating with the Pharmacy team to ensure accurate patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred and must be registered or have applied for Pharmacy registration after interview prior to start date.
• One year of pharmacy experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Responds to customers request for medication or information.
• Follows through to meet customer’s needs.
• Stocks vials, caps and bags; cleaning/clearing counter space throughout the day.
• Inputting prescriptions, adding new patients, running refills and providing price checks.
• Maintains over the counter (OTC) shelves and assists customers with OTC purchases.
• Verifies prescription information for accuracy and completeness.
