Position Purpose:

Retail Pharmacy Technician, within the scope of the Ohio Administrative Code, will provide timely, accurate, cost-effective, and patient-centric pharmaceutical care under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.

What You Will Do:

• Coordinate pharmacy technician schedules with the Pharmacy Manager.
• Lead process improvement projects in the pharmacy.
• Support the Pharmacy Manager with analytical reporting in EHR.
• Lead, motivate, and support Dispensing Department team members.
• Assist in staffing the retail pharmacy as needed.
• Support Pharmacists in retrieving, processing, preparing, and distributing medications, including enrollment and processing of Meds2Beds patient medications.
• Maintain inventory, medication replenishments, and drug stock.
• Assist Pharmacists with prior authorizations for medications.
• Process insurance claims.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED (required)
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPT) from the National Health Career Association or Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB), with registration with the State Board of Pharmacy (required)
• Two years of experience in a retail or hospital-based ambulatory pharmacy
• Maintain registration throughout employment
