Job summary

Health First is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II to assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining inventory, and patient records, under supervision of a licensed pharmacist. The role emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Primary responsibilities include prescription entry, labeling, inventory management, and documentation, with an emphasis on teamwork and maintaining efficient workflow.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Six (6) months of pharmacy technician experience.
• Licensure: Registered Pharmacy Technician licensure in the State of Florida.
• Certification: None

Responsibilities

• Enters prescriptions accurately, generates labels, and sorts orders by delivery method.
• Selects the correct medication and dosage for patient containers.
• Maintains and organizes inventory by rotating stock, identifying outdated items, and storing supplies correctly.
• Ensures accurate restocking of medication dispensing areas.
• Maintains thorough documentation, including logs and records, in compliance with standards.
• Enters charges and credits accurately for patient medications.
• Attends meetings, completes required competencies, and participates in ongoing training.
• Always preserves patient and departmental confidentiality.
• Provides responsive customer service by answering phones, addressing inquiries at the window, and demonstrating strong communication skills.
• Keeps pharmacy areas and equipment clean, neat, and well organized.
• Organizes and prioritizes tasks to maintain efficient workflow.
