Job summary

BJC HealthCare in Missouri is seeking a nationally certified Pharmacy Technician for a retail role within a growing specialty pharmacy team. The position is PRN with hours Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm, no weekends or holidays. You will perform technician duties, manage billing/reconciliation, and support inventory and training.

Required High School diploma or GED, 2–5 years of pharmacy experience, and state board registration. Competitive benefits and a supportive workplace culture are offered.

• State Board Pharmacy Technician Certification required.
• 2-5 years of experience in retail pharmacy settings preferred.
• Nationally certified Pharmacy Technician is a plus.

• Manage patient and internal billing and reconciliation.

Role Purpose

The Pharmacy Technician - Retail 3, under the direct supervision of a staff pharmacist and according to standard procedures, performs all of the level I and II retail technician functions. This position is also responsible for managing billing and reconciliation, assumes primary responsibility for a specific task or function, and completes administrative responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Handles all Retail Pharmacy Technician I and II responsibilities, to include clerical duties, data entry, cash handling & reconciliation, inventory management, advanced compounding and orientation/training of new team members. Manages patient & internal billing and reconciliation. Assumes primary responsibility for a specific task, function or area of specialty which could include but is not limited to purchasing, automation, shipping, or lead technician for a specific area of workflow. Performs administrative responsibilities that include, but are not limited to responding to insurance audits, supply management and bank deposits.
