Job summary

ProMedica is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support data entry, prescription fulfillment, packaging and shipping, and overall pharmacy operations. You will communicate with patients, physicians, insurers, and manufacturers to coordinate care over the phone.

The technician assists the pharmacist with preparing and dispensing medications, handling inventory, and shipping orders to patients and offices. This per diem, on-site role at a Retail Pharmacy supports diverse hours and requires

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician registration or Pharmacy Intern License with Ohio Board of Pharmacy.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB or ExCPT) exam permitted.
• May be hired with a Registered Pharmacy Technician with restrictions with expectation license within 6 months if working in Ohio.

Job Summary:

As the Pharmacy Technician, you are responsible for data entry, prescription fulfillment, packaging/shipping, customer service, and maintenance of pharmacy operations.

You will talk to patients, physicians, insurance companies, pharmaceutical manufacturers, and patient assistance programs over the phone.

In this role, you help the pharmacist prepare and dispense medications, receive, store and inventory drug orders and supplies, maintain the cash drawer and ship completed orders to patients and prescriber offices.

SCHEDULE

• 4-6 hour shifts in the afternoon and evenings

• varied weekend rotation

• Holidays as needed

REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Certified Pharmacy Technician registration or Pharmacy Intern License with Ohio Board of Pharmacy. May be hired with a Registered Pharmacy Technician with restrictions in duties and expectation of Certified License being obtained within 6 months of hire if working in Ohio.

• Certified Pharmacy Technician (either PTCB or ExCPT (NHA) exam permitted)
