Qualifications

• Must hold CA Pharmacist license and PharmD.
• CPR certification is required.
• Retail pharmacy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate accurate, safe dispensing of prescriptions and OTC meds in line with policies and regulations.
• Counsel and educate patients, physicians, and healthcare staff on drug information.
• Oversee workflow of pharmacy staff.
• Process prescriptions including data entry, verification, and labeling.
• Consult with insurers to obtain prior authorizations for prescriptions.
• Collaborate with providers to clarify medications and prescriptions.
• Handle customer service issues and answer calls promptly.
• Assist with cash handling and register operations as needed.
• Maintain inventory and contribute to reducing wait times through adherence to policies.
• Participate in quality programs and keep pharmacy areas organized and clean.
