Job summary

Jefferson Regional Retail Pharmacy in Pine Bluff, AR is hiring a Retail Pharmacist for a full-time role. You will dispense prescriptions, provide patient counseling, and support immunizations and health screenings.

The ideal candidate must be a licensed pharmacist in Arkansas with strong knowledge of drug interactions and experience with pharmacy software. This is a safety-sensitive position emphasizing dispensing accuracy and patient care.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Master’s degree in Pharmacy required; doctoral degree preferred.
• Licensed by the Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy.
• This is a safety sensitive position.
• 1 year retail pharmacy experience as pharmacy tech or pharmacist required.
• Knowledge of pharmaceuticals, including drug interactions, dosage requirements, and side effects.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with patients and staff.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing medications.
• Proficiency in pharmacy management software and other technology used for dispensing and managing medication records.
• 5 years retail pharmacy experience as a pharmacist preferred.
• 340b pharmacy/medication experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Dispense prescriptions accurately and counsel patients on medications.
• Oversee daily technician duties and ensure safe medication practices.
• Provide immunizations and health screenings as part of patient care.
