Job summary

Food City is seeking a licensed pharmacist to dispense prescribed medications, educate customers on health promotion, disease prevention, and proper medicine use, and assist with over-the-counter sales.

You will provide patient counseling, ensure accuracy and legality of prescriptions, manage inventory, train staff, and uphold safety and compliance while delivering friendly, efficient service.

Qualifications

• Active state-issued pharmacist license.
• Immunization certification from an accredited organization.
• Experience in a retail pharmacy environment preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work on-site during normal business hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide and promote patient counseling to customers.
• Fill prescriptions accurately and ensure legality.
• Check prescriptions for contents and labeling.
• Manage inventory and ordering to maintain Rx turns.
• Direct duties of pharmacy staff when manager is off.
• Maintain compliance with policies and safety procedures.
• Assist with over-the-counter recommendations.
